Job Description
As Cialfo’s Chief Financial Officer, you will report directly to the CEO and be a strategic business advisor and play an instrumental role in shaping the future direction of the organization. You will be leading the critical initiatives in the areas of corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations and fundraising in addition to leading the financial planning and analysis function. The CFO will collaborate with the executive team to make decisions regarding the company's financial strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone who is able to support both high-level complex accounting and finance responsibilities as well as not being afraid to dive into the details on a day-to-day basis. Finally, you will be responsible for a potential IPO journey in the next 5 years as part of the long-term plan of the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Finance Organisation, day-to-day oversight for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.
- Oversee various reporting, risks analysis, budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and data analysis, treasury, tax, operations, corporate finance, cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits and project feasibility study.
- Partner with senior leaders to push the boundaries of current and future departmental goals and strategies. Clearly articulate the key drivers of the business.
- Direct responsibility for strategic financial planning, investor relationships and fund-raising from institutional investors.
- Advise on long-term business development strategy and financial planning.
- Proactively anticipate risks in all business and organizational dimensions through strong collaboration with other functions and drive capability improvement accordingly.
- Lead and execute fundraising strategy, build strong relationships with current and prospective investors.
- Own communication and interactions with investors/Board - leverage and manage key strategic investors.
- Evaluate and strategize regarding potential M&A opportunities.
- Provide timely, accurate and insightful financial analysis in order to assist and enable the Leadership Team to drive growth.
- Lead and execute the finance transformation, rolling out operating models, tools and processes to automate budgeting/ forecasting processes.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in senior leadership.
- Experience in financial operations (tax & accounting, audit & compliance, treasury management, financial modeling) is a must.
- Prior experience with Fundraising (series C and beyond) and Investor relations.
- Proven experience supporting or leading fundraising efforts, including managing relationships with current and future investors.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced high-growth environment.
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CFA highly desirable.
- Strong business-centric problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of a multicultural organization.
- Good business partnering skills working with various people across the region both internally as well as externally.
